The Ministry of Railways imported 85 6K electric locomotives from Japan, numbered 001~085, all of which are assigned to the Luoyang Locomotive Depot of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau. So far, it is estimated that there are only a few in China so far. One is the previous ND4. It is attached to the Feng Section of the Beijing Bureau, and then all the 6K is attached to the Luo Section of the Zheng Ju, in addition to the Shaoshan 7D and other locomotives. In fact, the original import quantity of 6K locomotives was 80 units, plus 3 car accessories, but the value of the accessories of these 3 cars was enough to be equivalent to 5 units of 6K locomotives. It goes without saying that there are 85 cars. 6K is a passenger and cargo dual-purpose electric locomotive jointly designed and manufactured by several Japanese companies, mainly Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Electric. All 85 vehicles were manufactured in succession between 1987 and 1988. In addition, the 6K electric locomotive is also the first locomotive to install air-conditioning in China.

The 6K electric locomotive is an electric locomotive that the Ministry of Railways of the People’s Republic of China ordered from Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Japan and Mitsubishi Electric through international bidding in order to meet the needs of electrified railways in the Zhengzhou-Baoji section of the Longhai Railway in the 1980s. There are 85 electric locomotives in total, all of which belong to Zhengzhou. Used by Luoyang Locomotive Depot of Railway Bureau. The 6K electric locomotive is a six-axis phase-controlled AC-DC drive electric locomotive, using Bo-Bo-Bo shaft type, three-stage unequal half-control bridge voltage regulating circuit, compound excitation traction motor, and microcomputer control system.

6K electric locomotives are 85 electric locomotives ordered by the Ministry of Railways of the People’s Republic of China from Kawasaki Heavy Industries and mitsubishi electric through international bidding in 1980s to meet the needs of electrified railway from Zhengzhou to Baoji section of Longhai Railway.

The 6K car numbers are 6K-001 to 6K-085.
